A few things before you ask why would we choose to do a photo session amongst the destruction on Fort Myers Beach after a category 4 hurricane.
Owen is a senior at Fort Myers High.
He loves fishing, boating, and skim boarding.
His family has (or had) a family beach house on Fort Myers Beach since the 1960’s.
His mom, Stefanie Ink Edwards, is the CEO of Community Cooperative. The day after the storm passed Stefanie was boots on the ground with Owen and her family leading the local effort to collect and distribute resources to the survivors of Hurricane Ian.
Hopefully some of this makes sense now. Life goes on in the wake of Ian. Owen is months away from graduating high school and will continue to be resilient with what ever life throws his way.
… and Fort Myers Beach still had so much tenacity and beauty to share with us five months after the storm. We hope you enjoy our day at the beach blog post with Owen.
