Addison has vacationed in Fort Myers since she was in elementary school. A native of Minnesota, she wanted palm trees, sunshine, and sandy beaches to commemorate her senior photos. Naturally, it made sense to schedule a senior portrait session during her recent vacation to SWFL with her mom. Addison was an absolute delight to work with and is beautiful inside and out! Sharing the Price family memories during a recent morning on Barefoot Beach in Bonita Springs, FL. Alisa and I have been "Insta-friends" for a while and Kevin and I are connected through the FGCU Alumni Association, so I was looking forward to photographing their beautiful kiddos and Tyler's first birthday cake smash! We had great time together and my favorite part was the mini boom box Kevin and Alisa brought on the beach for Tyler and Myla to dance! In all my years of photographing that was the first time I've ever had that happen and I appreciated it because Matt is so into tunes and brings our music with us every where we go!

Have you every opened an e-mail that made you smile? Of course you have... and I did too when I read about Josh and his family traveling to Southwest Florida on the quest for the ideal photographer to capture his family for a beach shoot. Definitely spoiled, Josh's sister is a photographer in Nashville so he had in mind what he was looking for- a photographer talented in composition, lighting, and posing. Let me clarify on the posing, not the stiff white shirt kind of photographs on the beach, but rather the lifestyle portraits we love to snap. So giving of the compliments before our camera even clicked, I can't wait for Josh and Heidi to see their gallery of photos!

Our adventures on Boca Grande a few weeks ago are on the blog this week. From the wide angle shots on Banyan Street to the hidden gardens along the way to the sandy white beaches, this truly is one of our fav places to shoot. I wished we loved closer! Luckily Elisabeth and her family vacation there often so perhaps we will be back to shoot as little Hudson grows to know how amazing this Florida island is!

Expecting: Asha + Sean I Sanibel, Florida I Maternity Photographer
Yet another maternity session!!!
It seems everyone is expecting... including my gorgeous friend, Asha. Due in February, I met up with her and Sean (daddy-to-be) for sunrise portraits on the island. I must say the couple was brave smiling and giggling their way through the 48 degree weather (cold for Florida!!!). You can tell these two are soooo in love and are counting the days until they meet their little one. Also a photographer, Asha was glowing in front of the camera and was stunning among the sunrise, sea grapes and sandy beach of Sanibel. Here's a sneak peek at their baby bump session:
Amanda + Peter I Sanibel Engagement
... a giddy in LOVE couple, an ADORABLE toddler, and GORGEOUS light, what more could a photographer ask for? Maybe a well coordinated family? This blog post has that too!!! So many amazing images to share from Amanda, Peter, and Cullen's recent sunset photo session at the Sanibel Lighthouse Beach. Amanda was a referral from my Tanglewood Elementary friends (Thank you Kitty and Marisa) and wanted family and engagement photos to use for a Save the Date for their wedding in 2015. Wearing their wedding colors, Amanda and Peter dressed in teal and silver grey- such a stunning combo for beach photos. Congratulations to these two! Enjoy your sneak peek...
Mia I Fort Myers Senior Photography
Congratulations to Mia on her senior year at Fort Myers High School. Go Greenies!!! Always enjoy photographing Seniors and would love to do more of these kinds of portraits. For Mia's photos, we met up at Naples beach close to downtown and then headed to a near by hotel for a gorgeous setting. The blooming flowers, greenery, and lighting were a photographer's dream! Turns out Mia enjoys being behind the camera too! We chatted about her plans for the future, perhaps a business major? Her destination for college and even laughed about the trials and tribulations of being a curly girl in SWFL. Gotta love the humidity in September in Florida! I enjoyed hanging out with Mia's mom, Tisha, who happens to also be a former FMHS grad! We ended our session with a delicious breakfast on the chic streets of downtown Naples and talked about how small of a world Fort Myers really is!
We also captured a few mother and daughter portraits! LOVE!

Congratulations to these two! After a LONG wait they are expecting AND we could not be any more excited for them!! I've known Janska (Jessica) for a few years and was honored when she asked me to take her photos at 28 weeks. Boca Grande Maternity I Jenny + Joe
I traveled north this past weekend to meet up with my old college friend, Jenny, and her husband, Joe, for some destination maternity photos on Boca Grande, FL. I had my sights on Banyan Street and knew I wanted to use my wide angle lens to capture the beauty of the trees. We hit the beach just after sunrise, stumbled upon a fun peace wreath on a colorful door, and explored a local church for stunning images of these two. Can't wait for the arrival of Baby Benitz in a few weeks!
