Brooke is so easy to work with and it's been a pleasure to watch her little ones (Thomas and John) grow. Have you every opened an e-mail that made you smile? Of course you have... and I did too when I read about Josh and his family traveling to Southwest Florida on the quest for the ideal photographer to capture his family for a beach shoot. Definitely spoiled, Josh's sister is a photographer in Nashville so he had in mind what he was looking for- a photographer talented in composition, lighting, and posing. Let me clarify on the posing, not the stiff white shirt kind of photographs on the beach, but rather the lifestyle portraits we love to snap. So giving of the compliments before our camera even clicked, I can't wait for Josh and Heidi to see their gallery of photos!

Boca Grande Photographer | Hoy Family
Our adventures on Boca Grande a few weeks ago are on the blog this week. From the wide angle shots on Banyan Street to the hidden gardens along the way to the sandy white beaches, this truly is one of our fav places to shoot. I wished we loved closer! Luckily Elisabeth and her family vacation there often so perhaps we will be back to shoot as little Hudson grows to know how amazing this Florida island is!

Captiva Family Photography I McMullen Family Returns
The McMullen family returns to SWFL with cute Greyson and their newest edition, baby Cosette, born in June. We were eager to photograph this family again after their beautiful shoot from last year at Casa Ybel and Captiva featured here. Libby did an amazing job coordinating her family outfits and asked to have Cozy photographed in my mom's mermaid tail and beach hammock. My favorite part of the session ended with Libby wearing a lace dress from SewTrendyAccessories holding Cozy in the waves of the ocean. JUST GORGEOUS!!! I always get giddy when I have inquiries for doing a maternity portrait session in SWFL. Katie and Kyle were in the area for Thanksgiving with their family and wanted to capture this exciting time in their lives and use our gorgeous beaches for the background. We met up at Casa Ybel, one of my fav spots for photos on Sanibel. Katie was radiant and as gorgeous as can be. Here's a peek at our time together last week...

Like alot of familes we photograph on Sanibel, Libby and her family have been vacationing on the beautiful island for years. She contacted us to capture a few memories on their trip this year and we went back and forth on clothing choices and sunset locations. They stayed at one of our favorite locations to shoot on Sanibel, Casa Ybel and we headed to Captiva for the sunset. Greyson, their 2 year old son, was so expressive and fun. Baby Harper I Southwest Florida Family Photographer I Naples, FL
I have to start by thanking April, Nick's mom, for being the BEST baby wrangler I have ever worked with. We had prior history working together when I photographed Nick's sister, Lindsey and her twins. I showed up at the beach at 7 A.M. and was greeted by April with toys in tow ready to make Harper smile and giggle. Harper was as CUTE as can be but proved to be a little bit of a challenge for the experienced baby wrangler (April) and myself. As the sun rose, her smile finally surfaced and we were able to capture this adorable family in true fashion (#chevron). I was excited to work with Shea for a couple reasons... We have been Instagram friends for the past year and I have been in love with Harper's cheeks almost as much as my own's daughters! I also knew she had impecable style, hence the chevron skirt and Harper's adorable hair bows. Here is a peek of a few of my favorite images from the session...
