Congratulations to Sarah and Rafael on their recent wedding on April 19, 2014! Matt and I were pulled back into photographing weddings for this secret occasion. The couple kept their big day a surprise for their families and opted for an intimate ceremony and dinner with their closest loved ones. Congratulations to Bethany and David on their upcoming wedding in November! We were introduced through a common friend (Sarah Martin) and were thrilled to photograph them in Downtown Fort Myers during the 4th of July weekend. Matt and I spend a lot of time in the Fort Myers River District as a family with our daughter Lillian. We appreciate and revel in the architecture, art, culture, and commerce as a unique urban backdrop for sessions. Bethany knew she wanted to start at the yacht basin and work our way to the gorgeous banyan tree near the court house and we stopped at various DTFM favorites along the way including the Whitehurst Federal Building (Sidney and Berne Davis Art Center).

Happy Birthday Kaylee!
The best thing about photographing this little family is they are game to try just about any location or idea I propose. I got lost one day on MLK and had to make a U-turn down a street and discovered a convenience store with a really cool Coco-Cola mural on the side. I kept that spot in the back of my mind hoping I would one day have the opportunity to shoot there. I filled an empty Coke bottle with bubblegum and we ventured to the "sketchy" convenience store for some really fun images with Kaylee and her parents. It was so worth it! Kaylee, now two, is used to me following her around with my big camera. Her mom is Lil's teacher at school and this is our third photo sesh together!

Shaing some of our favorite images from the recent photo session in Downtown Fort Myers with Tessa, Colin, Penelope, & Miles. The weather was surprisingly cold for March, but everyone still had smiles! It was a pleasure working with the LeSage family, especially since we have so many friends in common, it was probably just a matter of time before we connected =)!
Including a color palette (below) featuring the colors they selected for their outfits. Tessa worked hard to coordinate 4 people and even adapted to the cold weather with running to Old Navy at the last minute to look for jackets that would match. Love the combination of green, lavender, coral, and denim!
