Expecting Emma I Fort Myers Maternity Photography I Marietta, GA

I traveled to Atlanta for my sister’s baby shower last weekend and had the opportunity to take maternity photos of her cute belly at just 28 weeks! We had harsh conditions, a temperature of just 27 degrees!!! Very cold for a Floridian!  Luckily we stumbled upon a fun antique store to warm up. We shopped and we laughed as I captured Hannah’s beauty and mother-to-be radiance among the treasures and trinkets in Marietta, GA.  She had her shower with friends and family that afternoon and we took a few more photos after the party as the sun set and the temperature began to drop again.  A special thank you to Emily, Hannah’s sister-in-law, for chasing the sun and finding the perfect spot for the shoot!

We can't wait to meet Hannah and Jake's baby in April (#expectingemma). So excited for you guys!

Hello Tristin I Fort Myers Newborn Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

Drum roll please... Tristin Thomson Silvashy is here !! All BOY at 10lbs, 9oz, and 22 inches. The Silvashy family welcomed him into the world on December 22nd, 2013. We met up just before the Florida State Seminoles won the National Championship and I captured a few adorable shots of Tristin and Sam in their FSU shirts.  Tristin's dad is a rugby player and also happens to be a personal trainer so we photographed him with Ron's ball and weight. Here's a peek... Congratulations Rhiannon and Ron!

And a few favs from just before Tristin's arrival in November...

hello stella I Fort Myers Newborn Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

"Meet Stella Ann Spanberger...8 lbs, 4 oz and 19 inches of pure perfection", a description I borrowed from her parents, Jake and Beth. Stella arrived on New Years Eve and we just had the pleasure of meeting her this past weekend for a newborn session. Beth is still in awe and can't believe she is the mom of this beautiful little girl. Well, we can believe it! Here's a peek at a few of our favorites. We are so happy for this little family! Oscar and Bailey are making their little sis feel right at home...

Welcome Brody I Southwest Florida Family Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

I have some pretty strong roots with the Black girls. Katie and I met in 8th grade after I moved to Fort Myers. I can recall our sleepovers and talking about boys and kissing; twenty years later, we are now talking about bottles and babies! Katie and Jake are beautiful together. I walked out of their bungalow after our session feeling giddy that my friend from so long ago has truely married the love of her life and now they have an amazing baby. Brody is so handsome and precious. I can't wait to share these images with the Bristow family and friends!!! Enjoy...

In love with this blanket that Jake's mom made!!

Addison is so proud of her little cousin...

This boy is sooooooo handsome!!

And no newborn session would be complete without a little posing inspiration from Pinterest... Sharing the PG version (LOL).

Baby Harper I Southwest Florida Family Photographer I Naples, FL

I have to start by thanking April, Nick's mom, for being the BEST baby wrangler I have ever worked with. We had prior history working together when I photographed Nick's sister, Lindsey and her twins. I showed up at the beach at 7 A.M. and was greeted by April with toys in tow ready to make Harper smile and giggle. Harper was as CUTE as can be but proved to be a little bit of a challenge for the experienced baby wrangler (April) and myself. As the sun rose, her smile finally surfaced and we were able to capture this adorable family in true fashion (#chevron).  I was excited to work with Shea for a couple reasons... We have been Instagram friends for the past year and I have been in love with Harper's cheeks almost as much as my own's daughters! I also knew she had impecable style, hence the chevron skirt and Harper's adorable hair bows.  Here is a peek of a few of my favorite images from the session...

Expecting Charlotte I Southwest Florida Maternity Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

Congratulations to Sara & Ben who will be expecting Baby Charlotte in October! Sara is a long time friend from high school and we recently reconnected after she moved into our neighborhood.  Their house provided the perfect backdrop to capture family sunset photos before their family of 3 becomes 4. Oliver is going to be a great big brother!

Riley {7 months} I Southwest Florida Child Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

Always a sweet treat to photograph milestones in the same family. I did Riley's newborn photos earlier this Spring as well as Danielle's wedding (Justin's sister) in March.  I had to laugh because I noticed Stephanie's Facebook update that day read: "Rain, rain go away, it's picture day." Shooting in Florida is so unpredictable during the summer; the morning of our session it was super cloudy and to projected rain. We decided just to go for it and work around the weather. Thank goodness for the pavilions at Lakes Park for keeping my props and camera equipment dry between showers! I think we did really well considering the conditions and Riley was smilely as she could be and ADORABLE to boot!!

Pomeroy Family I Southwest Florida Family Photographer I Fort Myers Beach, FL

Welcome to Florida, Pomeroy Family!!

Such a sweet family with gorgeous girls!! Caty was a joy to work with AND I loved their choice of colors for the session. Here's a sneak peek of their family vacation in Southwest Florida...

I dared Audrey to throw oranges at me and she did!!! It made for a cute shot and luckily she missed!

Caty davels in photography is her spare time and I wanted to make sure to get her in front of the camera with her girls since she is usually the one taking the photos...

Loved the colors in this session... Here is a color swatch from their family photo:

Such a great combo!

Tiny toes...

My mom made the mermaid tail last year and this seemed like the perfect session to incorporate it into. Riley certainly loved it and was the star of the beach!!!

Expecting Lucas I Southwest Florida Maternity Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

I met up with Lupe and her son, Ethan, in early May at Koreshan State Park to capture her baby bump just a few weeks prior to her due date (June 3, 2013) for her second son, Lucas.  We hit if off right away and found out we have a lot in common. Love when I meet new clients that feel like old friends.

Lupe arranged the session to capture these moments as a gift to her husband for Father’s Day. We were on the brink of summer heat at the time and she did an amazing job looking beautiful while still juggling having her son along for the photos.  We’ve all been there with toddler in tow, sometimes they are cooperative and other times they like to run the show. Ethan did great and I thoroughly enjoyed capturing him with my camera.  I hopefully will get to meet Lucas one day soon!

Here’s a synopsis of our shoot… Enjoy!

Valerie + Jesse ♥ Aubree I Southwest Florida Family Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

Thank you to Valerie & Jesse for inviting me to capture their little family! Their daughter, Aubree, just reached the six month milestone. She was facinated with my camera and was not shy about keeping eye contact with me the whole time.

Valerie wanted color in this session, and she got it! The flowers were in bloom and served as a gorgeous backdrop for the session. And oh my goodness, V + J's love for one another is evident in the photos below... These two are adorable!

Hello Fiona I Southwest Florida Baby Photographer I Fort Myers, FL

October 2012

Congratulations to Rich & Kristy Kilfoyle on the arrival of Baby Fiona, born Friday, October 5th. The name was a mystery until her arrival and we were all waiting on pins and needles to see what she would be called. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the name!!! She is adorable and Rich and Kristy already seem llike pros at this parenting thing.  I think I even heard rumors she was sleeping through the night- lucky!!!

I was honored to have the opportunity to take a few photos 9 days after her birth. Kristy and I discussed ideas and I came like I always do to most shoots, over prepared with a lot of props. I could see Rich's eyes grow wide when he helped me bring all my goodies inside. Kristy wanted more of a lifestyle session so we took some intimate photos in their bedroom. We also incorporated books- Kristy's occupation, yarn- Kristy's recent hobby, and a cute crown that my mom made. The session ended with some fun family portraits outside in front of their house.
